Bob Coté is considered to be the leading authority in America on the homeless. He has run a shelter for the past thirteen years in Denver's skid row. His shelter does not accept government funds, is 75% self-supporting through in-house business and everyone works. His budget last year was $280,000 for an average of one hundred men. Government run facilities with similar work have budget's as high as 5 million.
Coté has been endowed with hundreds of awards for his work with the homeless, namely Fellowship Awards, President Bush's Points of Light, FBI Man of the Year and he has even appeared in Congress. Articles highlighting his endeavors have been written in Reader's Digest, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, Insight Magazine, National Review, Freeman Press, San francisco Examiner and he has been on television's ABC World News, NBC with Peter Jennings, John Stossel ABC Special, CNBC, CNN and Dateline to name a few.
Coté is a passionate, stimulating and charismatic speaker who lectures from the heart about a subject that is very misunderstood.
