Background:
President of Costa Rica from 1986 to 1990, Dr. Oscar Arias was awarded a Nobel Peace Prize for his instrumental efforts in ending the decades of political violence that wracked Central America.
He calls out for countries to divert their spending from weapons to people. He teaches that a country can only truly achieve national security by providing human security: security of education, health, food, employment, and environment.
As an international spokesperson for peace, his message can be summed up in a simple statement: "No nation should be secure but in liberty, rich but in compassion, nor strong but in the sense that other nations share equal fortitude."
Please contact American Program Bureau today by clicking on our SpeedMail(TM) button to inquire about Dr. Arias's schedule and fees. You can also call our 800 number or visit American Program Bureau's Web Site.
