Unique, new Managing to EXCEL™ series to combine interactive instruction with manager's job aid functionality

AMHERST, MA, September 25 - HRD Press, a leading publisher of books, workbooks, and training materials for human resource development, and Interactive Training, Inc. (ITI), an pioneer in Web-based business skills course development, today announced a joint marketing agreement to deliver HRD Press' Managing to EXCEL™ management training suite over the Web. Managing to EXCEL™ is an industry-endorsed collection of workshops that address the twelve fundamental areas of management competency. ITI will partner with HRD Press to transform Managing to EXCEL™ into twelve engaging, self-paced courses available to managers and corporate trainers on an anytime, anywhere basis via the Web. The online version of Managing to EXCEL™ will be released in December and will be priced at $75.00 per course.

The Managing to EXCEL™ series was originally developed by Scott Parry, the noted management consultant and author, and was completely revised in 2000 to reflect new issues and training techniques. Managing to EXCEL™ divides management competency into four fundamental areas; Relating to Others, Building the Team, Managing Your Job and Thinking Clearly. Each area is then broken into three comprehensive but concise learning modules covering the specific skills and knowledge for that area. ITI will design and program the courses with integrated audio, text and video, additionally offering interactive games and exercises, tips and resources, and examples from real-life management experiences.
